USA Tours

NSA receives many invitations to participate in major International and National soccer tournaments.

The NSA Tournament Team Program has enabled players over the past 20+ years to enjoy experiences not provided by their local teams.

Are you among the top few player on your team? if so, you may be invited to the NSA Tournament team program.

Why join an NSA tournament team when your local team goes to tournaments also?

  1. By the nature of the program, only the serious and committed are included in NSA.
  2. NSA’s (Coach Fred’s) method of training is different and most participants have commented that it is much better than their local team practices.
  3. You will have like minded teammates from many different locations and even different States and Countries.
  4. NSA has a 20+ year history of success that is quite unique.

Objective:

To provide opportunities for young players to learn, mature and gain excellent experiences via competition and cultural exchanges in major events nationally and internationally.

NSA’s focus is on Youth Development .

On every team from all areas, there seems to be always a few who want more than what the local program offers. These are the players NSA welcome to the Tournament Team Programs. It is our goal to help develop players and assist them in finding an appropriate fit to play in college should they have the ability and choose to do so.

NSA Training is normally open to all serious players. Players will be grouped by ability during training.

Tournament team program:

In addition to the EUROTOUR, which takes place annually during the July (week 28,29,30) , NSA assembles teams to attend skill level appropriate tournaments. Serious players will be invited to join the Tournament team program. Their commitment will be the event itself and the intense training days immediately prior to the tournament. Other training sessions are optional.

PLAYERS RETURN TO THEIR LOCAL TEAMS after the tournaments.

NSA does not participate in local leagues.

NSA DOES NOT RECRUIT PLAYERS away from their local teams to play in leagues.

MORE DETAILS:
NSA does not operate like a local club. Our mission is to teach those who want more. By design, it will be small groups.

1. NSA’s business model is “pay only for what you use”…i.e.. there are no club fees nor fees charged unless you participate.

2. We bring “just enough” players for each event. e.g. 8v8 .. we bring 8 to 10 players.  11 v 11, we bring 11 to 14 players.
Invitations will go to the players families to participate in an event, They can choose to accept or not. However, once they commit, then it is expected they follow through. Since these commitments are short term, it ought to be much easier for families to plan.

3. We schedule Training/tryouts  sessions periodically in different locations. Players who wish to learn are welcome to register , pay the training fees and come to them .. but they are not mandatory.

4. Before a tournament (normally the weekend before , we hold a sleep over intense training weekend  (Sat/Sun) for the tournament team. Everyone committed to the event should attend.

5. fees:
Each training session is 40- ( 2 to 3 hours)

There are 3 types of tournaments we attend.
a. EUROTOUR … see website for details
b. West Coast Tournaments

c. Other Tournaments in the USA
The fees charged is per player, which pays for
a. tournament fees,
b. NSA organizing the event (it takes a lot of time, energy, effort and expertise to assemble these teams)
c. NSA coaches wages for the weekend.
d. NSA coaches travel, food , lodging for the weekend’
e. administration and misc. costs associated with participation.
Playing uniforms $125-   includes 2 jerseys(40- each)  1 pair of shorts (25-) 1 pair of socks (20).
NSA is not for everyone .. We make every attempt to bring together like minded families and create an excellent learning environment when they are with us.
We reserve the right to only offer services to those whom we feel can benefit from what we do.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT:
Parents love to watch their children perform.
However, could too much demand for performance when your children are still trying to learn to play the game the main cause of “burn out” for teenagers?

Ask the questions

Is your child in a performance environment most of the time they play soccer?
Is forcing young players who are still trying to connect their brains with their bodies to perform constantly a good youth development environment?
Has youth soccer “coaches” and managers gone too far in making too many league games, cup games, tournament games the norm because adults want to and are willing to pay for low cost entertainment ?

Players need to play the game to improve. Lots of scrimmages,  street soccer and less structured events are conducive to development.

NSA believes the following is a much better environment for youth soccer player development

  • play in 3 days of unstructured event (e.g. school recesses, after school scrimmages with friends etc)
  • train 2 days a week with a good teacher of the game
  • have a team scrimmage three times a month,
  • go to a tournament to practice “Performance” once every 6 to  8 weeks.
  • have family time to experience life with much more than just soccer..
